Kid Rock Expected to Debut at #2 on Billboard 200 With ‘First Kiss’

According to HitsDailyDouble, Kid Rock’s new album ‘First Kiss’ is expected to debut at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart next week with first week sales (plus streams) of 125-130k. Big Sean, who released his new album ‘Dark Sky Paradise’ will take the #1 spot with sales (plus streams) of 140-150k. The Billboard 200 started incorporating on-demand streaming and digital track sales into its chart in late 2013.

However, in pure sales, the battle between the 2 is expected to be much closer with First Kiss expected to sell 120-125k copies while ‘Dark Sky Paradise’ is expected to sell between 120-130k copies.

Kid Rock’s only album to hit the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 is ‘Rock N Roll Jesus’. His last album ‘Rebel Soul’ debuted at #5 with first week sales of 146k.
