The Oakland Press report that Kid Rock will be a guest presenter at this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on April 8 in Brooklyn.
It is not the first time Kid Rock has been involved in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony having previously inducted Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bob Seger. He also performed as part of a Beastie Boys tribute in 2012.
Kid Rock joins Kendrick Lamar as just-announced special guest presenters for this year’s inductions, although their exact roles have been specified. They join previously announced presenters Rob Thomas, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich and the Black Keys.
This year’s inductees include Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple, N.W.A. and Steve Miller, while the Ahmet Ertegun Award for Lifetime Achievement goes to the late songwriter and producer Bert Berns.
The ceremony will be filmed by HBO and premiere on April 30.
